Robin Hammond is the Chief Workforce Development Officer and Director of the Electrified Processes for Industry Without Carbon (EPIXC) Institute at Arizona State University. EPIXC was selected as the U.S. Department of Energy’s 7th Clean Energy Manufacturing Innovation Institute. In this role, Robin is dedicated to advancing clean energy workforce solutions and fostering pathways for emerging talent in the energy sector.

Robin also leads the Tribal Energy Leaders Fellowship (TELF) housed within EPIXC, in partnership with the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy, Arizona State University Office of University Affairs, and the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory. TELF was created to empower emerging Native American leaders to advance their Tribes’ pursuit of energy sovereignty and sustainable development.

Previously, Robin was the Founding Director of the Fulton Schools of Engineering Career Center at Arizona State University, where she led initiatives supporting over 32,000 engineering students and technical professionals. Under her leadership, the Career Center became a key partner for global companies, helping to cultivate talent pipelines and recruit top-tier candidates. Robin also pioneered transformational career programs, including the Fulton Ultimate Engineering and Leadership program and the Texas Instruments Technical, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Bootcamp, which were widely regarded as transformative by participants.

Passionate about expanding access to higher education, Robin served as Co-Principal Investigator for NSF INCLUDES and S-STEM grants, focusing on success factors for first-generation college students. Through this work, she helped develop a “Theory of Change” model to illustrate effective practices for student retention and success.

Robin also serves on the Indigenous Career Futures university committee and co-advises the American Indian Science and Engineering Society at ASU. She has held leadership positions within the American Society of Engineering Education’s Cooperative and Experiential Education division.

With a bachelor’s degree from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Robin is a proud Diné (Navajo) Nation member committed to empowering Indigenous students and advancing inclusive workforce development in clean energy.
