David Lent is an enrolled Bishop Paiute tribal member, with decades of experience in nonprofit management and mediation services, serving Native American tribes and tribal members. In his role as executive director of Indian Dispute Resolution Services and as a certified mediator, David worked with tribes, tribal members, corporations, and organizational clients to resolve conflicts by encouraging and facilitating productive and respectful dialogue, guiding parties toward their own resolutions.
David has held senior leadership roles for the Owens Valley Career Development Center, the Owens Valley Housing Authority and the Bishop Indian Education Center. He was the chief executive officer for the Toiyabe Indian Health Project for 15 years, providing health care services benefitting the tribal and non -native communities of Invo County. He is currently a partner in the firm DNR Consulting, LLC, providing technical assistance and grant writing services to tribes and tribal organizations, helping to raise over $10M in funding.

Leveraging our robust connections in Washington, the Alliance Policy team champions fair energy policies and equitable utility practices. Acting as a crucial conduit, we facilitate the exchange of energy-related information between federal and tribal governments. In collaboration with our technical team, the Alliance Policy team provides invaluable support to tribes through expert project planning and grant writing services, delivered at no cost.
